So here it is…

I seem to have a donating “problem” according to friends and family.

There I said it. (Checked off number one in my twelve step recovery process)

-Pardon me whilst I babble about that for a sec.

I was adopted (yea, it’s a good thing- I am lucky). My whole life I have always been very in tune with other people. Everywhere I look I’m subtly reminded that that could have been me. (That guy washing your windows, that woman who can’t read, that person that cannot afford to put food on the table for their family.) You get the idea.

My solution: To throw a couple of bucks at him or her/this or that, try to recycle more, be an organ donor, be on the board of this, donate a (try like dozen) custom made art pieces to a school or charity in the hood, even buy that magazine subscription I soooo do not need from that person standing there at my doorstep with their heart on their sleeve. To be honest I think that the clothing donation place has me on speed dial. Over the years I have given more flocks of geese, herds of bees, prides of chickens through Heifer International that I could probably fill up a farm. (It would be one weird ass farm though)

The problem with my “habit” is the bite my family takes because of it.

Okay back to the point I have figured out a way to reform myself. It is brilliant too.

I am going to create products with my artwork on them, in a series form, to be sold with part of the proceeds benefitting local Texas charities or a business with a heartbeat.

Simple concept no? (Should have had a V8 smack to my forehead here)

The first of the series is in the works.

WoooOOooO HOOooOOoo!

Raise your hand if you like t-shirts! Go ahead raise them up high maybe even wave them around a bit, make the person in the cubicle next to you wonder what the heck you are up to. If they stare too long just grin at them; that always freaks them out.

Over the years have you noticed how there is a serious lack of well designed shirts that you would ever want to wear much less look at?

Dude, me too. Now that being said I have seen too many that are just so downright terrrrible that they borderline being cool again.

Can I get an Amen?

And you say: You mean to tell me that I can get good karma look good doin’ it too?

Lawdy be, I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t need a heaping helping of that yummy feeling.

All you have to do is look for the update with the first series is out (my guess is about a month from now)

Consider yourself warned.

Until then I am plugging away at my commissioned pieces. Here is a series of three that went out-to-pasture today.
